Yoga for tired people…

Yoga shouldn’t be a chore, it should be a celebration.

But life is so busy and we have so many obligations that it sometimes seems the hardest thing to do is get the mat out. And suddenly one missed class becomes 6 missed classes and this thing that you love, that makes you feel so good becomes something to feel guilty about.

Well no more!

Let me take the heavy lifting out of your practise.

No scrolling through youtube for hours to find a video you fancy, only to realise halfway through that their idea of ‘relaxing’ is twenty rounds of intense ab exercises.

No more promising yourself that you’ll do yoga tonight only to feel too tired to change out of your clothes.

No need for fancy equipment, a tidy house, or someone to look after the kids for 90 minutes.

I’ve got you!

What do I get with a subscription?

Paid subscribers will get one fun, easy to follow, yoga or meditation straight to your inbox every Monday. Sessions are between 5-20 minutes long and designed to do as you are. No need to get out your mat or change your clothes.

You will also receive access to all past tutorials and the community chat.

Unpaid subscribers will get one yoga or meditation a month (1st Monday of the month.

All subscribers will get access to the Complete Beginners Yoga Course and yoga snacks (sessions less than 2 minutes)

I have a membership with the in person or zoom yoga studio is this the same thing?

No, this is a separate thing. This was designed to be as simple as possible so there is no access to the zoom classes, recordings or on demand library with this subscription. However if you are a member of either the in person or zoom studio then you get access to the Substack included in your membership, just send me an email or a DM and I’ll add it to your account.

Who’s the teacher?

Hey there!

I’m Jo, a Senior yoga teacher and Yoga Teacher Trainer living in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

In my decade long career working with people and their yoga practises it became clear to me that the idealised image of people doing yoga every day for 90 minutes in silence, is just completely unobtainable for most people. Not because they are lazy or undisciplined.

But because they have jobs, kids, parents to look after and all the other pressures of daily life.

This substack is a glorious rebellion against that idealised image, it’s a call to celebration of doing what we can, when we can and letting that be enough.

I was diagnosed as dyslexic at university and am unlearning an entire lifetime of being told I was lazy.

Let’s unlearn together.
