These are always good. Will remember them. No idea if that's the point, but my breathing always slows down a bit which feels good. You say "See how many you can get", which made me think a bit about the fast breathing exercises that can also be great, but in this case it feels like it should be as natural as it can be.

What a lovely tradition your little getaway is.

Me and my husband have many little tradition around this time. The last three months of the year are my favourite, and I make a digital autumn-winter-extravaganza-calendar for each month featuring those traditions (look for more obscure autumn and Christmas music, order our vegan Christmas dinner box, get mistletoe, make certain dishes, change our art to autumn and, later, to winter themed, start making the cards, start listening to the themed sleep stories, and many, many more). Those calendars are my desktop illustration and they're decorative and atmospheric. Even though it's unnatural to nor live by the seasons and the light anymore, you always can't in the modern day world, so this period sometimes doesn't feel like the nourishing season you hope it's going to be, so sometimes you have to give it a little nudge by carrying out those lovely little traditions.

that really does sound an amazing way to slow down and appreciate this time of year x

I love this. It’s so simple and I know you say we aren’t judging the numbers, but my breath always slows down over the three minutes ❤️
