“A lovely thing about Christmas is that it’s compulsory, like a thunderstorm, and we all go through it together.”

Garrison Keillor, Leaving Home

Hey Adventers,

Well I feel like my Christmas came early as I’ve already had a Christmas dinner with my family.

Every year me, my mam, sister and two nieces rent a lodge in Northumberland the weekend before Christmas to throw a secret Christmas day just for us. We have a stocking, snuggly pjs, Christmas dinner and we save the Strictly Come Dancing final to watch together. It feels like Christmas from when we were children.

I love how traditions and customs during the holidays are so different family to family.

One of my friends goes for curry on Christmas day, another goes in the sea every Boxing Day, my husband and I go to the pictures on Christmas Eve.

These traditions seem so small but they are the glue that hold our holidays together.

I would love to know yours!

Tell me in the comments.

Today we return to the drum beat of the 3 minute meditation, though the practise is the same everything around it is different. Let me know how you get on,

Jo x
