A 5-minute midday stretch for the low back

(and a few other things you might like)

Hi Tired Yogi,

Here’s a 5-minute midday low back stretch—nothing intense, just a bit of gentle movement for that slumpy, mid-afternoon feeling. The kind where you've been at your laptop too long and your spine's quietly filing a complaint.

It’s short, low-effort, and might be just the thing your body’s been asking for.

I’m just back from a silent retreat at Samye Ling, which was... lovely. Intense but lovely. Equal parts peaceful and mildly disorientating. (I think I spent 60% of it worrying about a warning light on the dashboard of my car) But mostly, it was so nice to be offline and quiet for a few days.

If you’re not in the mood for stretching, I also shared a 5-minute affirmation meditation earlier in the week—it’s right here if you missed it. It’s soft, grounding, and something you can do while horizontal, which is always a plus.

And if either of those made your body or brain exhale a little, the 7-Day Relaxation Reset might be just the thing.
It starts on April 21st, and it’s for paid members only. Just a few minutes a day. Just a few steady words, repeated each day, with a new affirmation to tuck in beside them. Repeated gently. Nothing to achieve, nowhere to be good. Just a rhythm of rest to settle into.

Also—a little heads up that the annual subscription price is going up soon, so if you’ve been meaning to join or upgrade, this is a lovely time to do it. If you’re already a paid member (thank you) no need to do anything they will appear in your inbox in the usual way.

Big love as always,
Jo x
