Time for a Midday Stretch at Your Desk

Give your upper back and shoulders a treat
2

Hey Tired Yogi,

I’m writing this from the garden, and if I’m honest, I’m finding it hard to concentrate. The sound of kids playing, hedge trimmers, my neighbour’s radio, and traffic are all blending with the heat and wind and making me feel all summery.

I think I’m going to send this email and then close my laptop for the day — until I see you tonight at Let’s Rest, 6.30pm GMT.

(If you’re in the Zoom Studio, the weekly Let’s Rest class is included in your membership — and the recording will be in the Practice Library tomorrow if you can’t make it live. If you’re not in the studio yet, but you want regular live classes with me, you can click here to learn more or upgrade.)

An ice lolly and my book are calling. (I’m reading The Overstory by Richard Powers — it’s beautiful. Have you read it? It’s all about trees and I’m loving it)

It’s been a busy week: podcast recording, filming, admin… and I think I’m due a lazy afternoon.
Even though it’s irrational, I still get that weird guilt about resting on a weekday. Like I’m bunking off.

Anyway — I just wanted to drop a quick yoga snack into your inbox for your shoulders and upper back. I hope it gives you a few minutes of peace in the middle of it all.

See you tonight (or not — rest first, always).
