“It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”
Mother Teresa
Hey Tired Yogi,
Today I’ve got a bit of mindful movement for you — nothing fancy, just something to give your brain and body a little coordination challenge.
The aim isn’t to nail it. Honestly, half the point is that it feels a bit awkward. That’s what makes your brain wake up and go, oh right, we’re doing something new.
I find things like this really helpful when my thoughts start looping or I’m feeling a bit foggy. Modern life has us staring at the same task for hours and then we wonder why our brains start glitching. For me the first sign is I start forgetting stupid things or worrying I’ve left the oven on for the 500th time. I’ve learned that’s just my brain telling me it needs a break, not a reason to call myself useless.
You’ll have your own versions of that. Part of yoga is just noticing them and giving yourself a bit of space and kindness instead of piling on pressure.
Anyway — have a go, have a laugh, and don’t worry about looking daft. That’s half the charm.
Much Love,
Jo xx
PS
If you have someone in your life who deserves some calm and relaxation this year, did you know you can gift a month or a whole year of Yoga for Tired People? What a lovely present 💝
